Can an unusual addiction to lobster save you money. Half a Lobster

It was the ideal opportunity to visit Seafresh restaurant with a friend and indulge in a meal sharing experience. I’ve been here on two occasions but each time, I chose a fish menu, as I wasn’t quite bold enough to try the Lobster; I wasn’t even convinced that it was meaty enough! Lobsters don’t always appear to have enough meat hidden under their tough shell.

Seafresh is a restaurant based in quiet location in Pimlico, South west London. Ela who is a regular visitor there, invited me along and had previously recommended the tasty meals. I’ve got hooked on their meals ever since. A fish and chip meal cost me £13, which included some bread with butter, a plate of fish and chips with peas, a bowl of fruit salad and a lovely cup of tea.

Ela, had half a Lobster, with a bowl of chips and a side bowl of salad for £17 and we both had a glass of water and lemon to drink.

A third visit to Seafresh involved taking my mum for her Mother’s day treat with my two daughters. This time, most of us had a Lobster meal, which was quite tasty. The herbs used to prepare the meal made it incredibly tasty.

You literally have to tear the lobster apart to get to the meaty parts. Who cares about mealtime etiquette? We eventually resorted to asking for a special utensil as we were battling with it. The knife and fork just didn’t work and it was almost impossible to talk while we were enjoying our meal.

Can you imagine how filling the meals were? Be warned, things can get a bit messy! If you are a fussy eater that doesn’t like bones or shells or a Vegetarian or Vegan then a lobster meal might not be for you. So, can an unusual addiction to lobster save you money? Yes. We’ve spent less than £20 each during our visit, which seems reasonable.

In conclusion:

We were really happy with the welcoming and friendly staff. The restaurant was clean and airy and so were the toilets, although the route to the toilet is not accessible for disabled customers. They prepare excellent meals and the chefs are incredible. However, we would love them to provide customers with utensils to battle with the Lobster, as it is slightly difficult to separate the meat from the shell.
