A view of London near Battersea at sunset
I am currently not writing any posts for a short while as I’m taking a short break. With the holiday season in full swing, it is time for me to take some steps back, reflect, review and recharge then start all over with more stories, ideas and tips.

Nature. Up in the woods in a London suburb
“Taking a break allows us to come back to our work with a clear mind and a new perspective. This is important because it also allows us to critique our own writing by bringing a fresh view to our work.”
While I’m away I’ll be:
- Reading some books in quiet places close to nature and greenery.
- Writing
- Observing
- Discovering new places
- Meeting people
- Learning from others
- Helping those in need
- Travelling around London and beyond
- Reconnecting and making the most of life because it’s for living!
This is the book I am reading right now and I strongly recommend this insightful read.
We should all be feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Is there a book that you are reading right now or are you about to embark on one? Do you have one that’s been standing on your book shelf gathering dust? Did you know that the holidays are ideal times for reading? Stay around and follow me on Social media. Are you taking a break or have recently returned from one and if so, what have you learned while you were away? Leave a comment as always.
Enjoy yourself!!! That’s the most important thing!
I will Vicki. I just can’t imagine having a break from routine! Thanks
How’s the vacay??
Great thanks. Just returned back from a friends wedding in Assisi and a visit to Rome.?
I think it’s most important to take a break and get a new perspective on your writing. Most importantly also not to much internet and social media for some time. I wish you a pleasant holiday time!
I’ve replaced most of my Social media time with reading. Great advice ?
Enjoy your break. Reading books close to nature and greenery is a perfect escape and recharge for me.
Being close to nature helps me switch off.
Good for you to take some time to recharge! I think we all need to do more of that an come back with a new sense of purpose and creativity!
It’s the best way to clear the head.
