This is the beauty of Spring

This is the beauty of Spring

With the arrival of spring, we can make the most of London with the prolonged daylight. Parks have extended opening times and children have more activities to choose from. It’s time to take a stroll or ride a bike in the park. Spring is the season of new beginnings so it’s still not too late to make new resolutions or reignite the old ones.

Here are 5 new ones to choose from:

  1. Take an evening stroll in your local park after work to unwind.
  2. Visit some of London’s museums at the weekend.
  3. Read that book you’ve been longing to read in the garden or in a quiet space in London (if you can find one!)
  4. Visit some of London’s attractions.
  5. Eat-out.

To celebrate this colourful season, this spring poem has been composed to inspire you and to get you out and about:

This is the beauty of Spring - Colour flowers in Turnham Green park

This is the beauty of Spring – People strolling in Turnham Green Park

This is the beauty of Spring

Spring, what a beautiful season,

Out with the old, in with new.

A time for Spring-cleaning and

A time for new beginnings;

This is the beauty of Spring.

This is the beauty of Spring - A couple of birds in St James park

This is the beauty of Spring – A couple of birds in St James park London

Sweet melody of birds chirping,

Spring’s in the air.

Longer days and shorter nights,

Bright blue skies and the radiance of the sunset

This is the beauty of Spring.

This is the beauty of Spring - Daffodils in St James park

This is the beauty of Spring – Daffodils in St James park

Gradually buds burst open,

bringing the arrival of Daffodils;

The fullness of trees and,

Bright cheerful faces;

This is the beauty of Spring.

This is the beauty of Spring - Sunrise in springtime

This is the beauty of Spring – Sunrise in springtime

Darkness turning to light,

Cold turning to warmth;

Hibernation to liberation,

Freedom at last but a picture of hope;

This must be the beauty of spring!
