Your guide to sights and stories in London and beyond

Hello I’m Bola,

Welcome!

About me

I’m Bola and I love supporting people  just like you to conquer your fears and follow your dreams. I’ve been a writer (for over 20 years), travel writer, a content creator and home grown Londoner who works with individuals and organisations. I offer travel and well-being tips so you can have a fulfilling journey. I have travelled around London so many times and I know those hidden parts of the capital.

My mission is to help travellers navigate their way around London and beyond and help you write your travel stories.

The questions I get asked the most are ‘where is that place? How can I get there?’I want to help everyone travel smarter on a budget and encourage you to avoid getting stuck in your comfort zone. If we don’t travel, we can easily become stuck in a mundane lifestyle. This website will show you how to make the most of my travel tips based on my experience and interactions while travelling solo and in the company of others.

If you are looking for articles about low cost travel, want to know how to discover unusual places in London while keeping fit at the same time or need help with writing your travel stories, you are in the right place.

Why I’m qualified and why you should hire me for your writing, content creation

I have written articles of various genres over the years and my writing skill has grown by the day. Check out my portfolio page. I am currently building my t-shirt and merchandise shop daily.

Inspiration behind this website

After learning that a few of my friends haven’t travelled to landmarks in London that are right on their doorsteps! I had the urge to help them and women trapped in their homes, jobs and lifestyle. I wanted to encourage them to travel and get up from their comfort zone.

I’ve always wanted to have a website and learn how to create one so I studied web design and content creation. I merged these two interests together to become ‘journey with Bola’.

The catalyst that made me want to set up my business

During my time working in the Telecoms sector for almost 20 years I went out of my way to learn how the internet actually worked. I started my Internet journey working with dial up which was slow and was curious to learn how web pages worked together. I self taught myself ‘Frontpage’ by reading books. Then I went on to study multimedia which incorporated HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver and Animation.

I eventually discovered Joomla, Wix and WordPress. WordPress is much easier to use and I have been using this wonderful template for the past eight years to create content.

Why you should purchase my content

What makes me different from other content creators is the positive relationships I create with my clients. Most struggle to find the time to write articles or simply upload content to their blogs/websites. I fully understand this challenge as I have experienced this. Take a look at some of my articles at webwritinghut.com

I have various methods that I use when working with my clients and allow them to work on their own schedule. Send me an email if there’s anything else you would like to know.

I’ll give you budget and time-saving tips so you won’t have to struggle working out the best way to travel in London. I’ll help you learn how to travel to London from other parts of the world and around the capital. I’ll show how to travel around London and discover unusual places that might not have crossed your mind and are not in travel guides.

Every other week I’ll be sharing my latest tips on how to have an enjoyable trip around London. Sign up for free updates (scroll to the bottom of this page), follow me on social media. Work with me on Sponsored, collaboration posts or other projects.

Thank you for visiting!

Travel Light On Your First Hike By Only Taking These Essentials

Harsh weather has the potential to lead to delays, meaning that you should also take along sunscreen of at least SPF 15 or higher, as well as sunglasses, and of course, rain macs for if things go the other way. Sat nav on your phone isn’t going to work when you’re out in the wild, so navigation tools are the absolute first things you need to stock up on. Obviously, maps are a must and can be easily folded down to slot inside your pack.

How To Enjoy A Sunday Afternoon At Greenland Quay

Sunday afternoon is a brilliant time to clear your head ready for the upcoming week and the area is a breeze. If you have a local area similar to this venue in your town, city or country, then it’s worth a try.
