Receiving an invitation to TBEX Europe 2015 was quite a surprise as I was totally unprepared! TBEX 2015 was a global blogger’s conference held in LIoret de Mar, Costa Brava, Spain. It stands for Travel Bloggers Exchange bringing together bloggers, writers, travel companies, tourist boards, photographers, travel industry professionals including hotels, companies and popular brands.

Some were aware of the event long enough and easily built a holiday into the trip. But I knew about the event at short notice and had to deal with an unexpected invitation in a matter of seconds! Some bloggers were regulars while others were there for the first time, but regardless, it was an honour to be there! It was truly amazing

The aim of the conference was to educate bloggers, travel professionals and travellers about the pros and cons of travel blogging, insights and to gain networking opportunities.

Getting there and the preparation

Without stating the obvious, book your flights, accommodation and organize the required itinerary (make sure your passport is up to date)

IIoret de Mar is situated in the Catalan region of Costa Brava, Spain. One and a half minutes drive from Barcelona airport (70Km) or half an hours drive from Girona airport (34 Km). Located in the northwest corner of the Iberian Peninsula in Catalonia.

Where to stay

Hotel Anabel, Costa Brava

Hotel Anabel is a family friendly hotel with spacious rooms and live evening entertainment. (Apparently they make the best cocktails in the area)

Thankfully, Blogsrelease (A press release board for bloggers) discovered me and I became a first – timer at TBEX.
