Discovering The Garden Gate was a surprise the other day and I just learned that it returns each summer. Relaxing At The Garden Gate in the open air space felt like being in an indoor garden.
The Garden Gate is a pop-up garden in the form of a Kitchen and bar, located on the second level of OXO2, which forms part of the popular OXO Tower along the riverbank near Blackfriars Station.
I went for one of my adventurous walks with a friend when we discovered this unusual venue. She was surprised to learn that it was right on her doorstep!
It’s great for relaxing and dinning, playing Table Tennis and Jenga and you will also see a panoramic view of London.
The cost of our meal and drinks worked out at around £10 per person, but there are other options to choose from.
Apparently it returns every summer and is currently running from 1st to 24th August. So it’s not too late for you to pop in!
It had a vibrant atmosphere and the staff were welcoming and gave us an in-depth insight into how the Garden Gate works.
London just keeps getting better no matter what season is thrown at us!

This looks like great fun! What a wild idea:)
It’s a great idea but ends this weekend!:)
I would like to visit the garden gate with friends before I go back to uni. I now know what I can do when my friends and I are stuck with where to hang out. Thank you for this post!
It’s not too late to catch The Garden Gate! The pop-up Kitchen and Bar ends tomorrow 24th August, so if you can’t make it this Summer, it might return next Summer.
Never heard of if but looks fab..
Just known about it as well. All thanks to my friend Marion who encouraged me to visit The Garden Gate. 🙂 It was fab being there and hopefully should return next Summer. The kids will definitely enjoy a game of Table Tennis and Jenga while you take the back seat and get some relaxation time! 🙂
