It’s that time of the year when we pay tribute to all who fought in the wars from all around the world. This post reveals some of the events that took place during and after the period of unrest and remembering stories of the wars in photos.

Great photographs Bola! I have had the privilege of visiting the Black Cultural Archives which is situated just behind Windrush Square, Brixton. So much culture, so much history. My parents immigrated to the UK from Jamaica in the 1960’s so I have a keen interest.
Thanks Phoenicia. I’ve heard some interesting reviews about the Black Cultural Archives but would need to visit soon.
My parents immigrated to the UK from Nigeria, also in the 1960’s and always like to learn about the events that took place during that era and before.
Great to see these photos. Thanks so much for sharing. Take care
You’re welcome Ikechi. Thanks for stopping by.
Bola — I was unaware of the Empire Windrush that carried immigrants to London. Of course, living in the U.S. we have many similar stories of immigrants, like my parents, who emigrated to the U.S. from Italy. Unfortunately, we also have the slave trade, which is forever a blot on our nation and history.
I’m so glad that records have been kept and archives maintained that has allowed us to learn more about the history of wars to this present day.
