Samuel Pepys' Diary BookBench

Samuel Pepys’ Diary BookBench Sculpture

I adore books and so when I strolled along Greenwich Embankment, a BookBench Sculpture caught my eyes. On the caption right next to the sculpture was a description of this masterpiece and I learnt that there are 50 of these sculptures in total around London. I’m In Search Of BookBench Sculptures. All 49 of them! This is going to be some journey.

The sculpture is so beautiful and has been designed to resemble a book. What an inspiration for readers! It is placed along the Greenwich Embankment and makes a lovely picture with some of London’s Landmarks in the background. I just had to take a picture of it. I’m now wondering what the other 49 BookBench Sculpures might look like.

This is the rear of  the BookBench Sculpture with an image of Samuel Pepys (1633-1703) He was an English naval administrator and Member of Parliament and recorded historical London events in London in a diary. Apparently this lovely BookBench depicts his work.
