Step Back in Time: Feel the Pulse of History in London This September!
Autumn is the perfect time to see London with a different pair of eyes. The colourful foliage is unquestionably spectacular and Autumn fashion reflects the season.
A guided or self guided history tour in London tailored for senior women can be both enriching and enjoyable, especially in September when the weather is mild and the city is less crowded.
Schools are back and the summer holiday is well and truly over. Now is a good time to discover those hidden gems that you have put off for a while.
If you’re looking for a great day out at one or more of these London attractions this Autumn, the best way to ensure you get there stress-free is by booking your tickets in advance because popular attractions like the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey can get busy, so book your tickets early.
Check that your ticket is for seniors and has an accessibility access element to it, which hopefully should let you bypass long queues. If it doesn’t, you might have to request step-free access. Ensure your booking is planned and has an expiry date that allows you enough time to get yourself prepared, in case you change your mind about a particular date.
Here is Journey with Bola’s suggested itinerary. This itinerary balances history, culture, and relaxation, making it perfect for a memorable London experience.

Hello Bola! We were just in England mid-June and spent our last three days in London. While we didn’t have time to do a lot, we enjoyed touring Tower Bridge, the Tower of London (just around the corner from our hotel), and the Hop-on Hop-off bus, where we spent time in Notting Hill. Our last day was mainly spent at the Churchill War Rooms, walking by Buckingham Palace and other sites, and touring the Jewel Tower since tickets were sold out for the day to Westminster Abbey. Our small group tour of England was the best, apart from London! Cotswolds, Lake District, and Yorkshire Dales… wow! England is a beautiful country!
Hello Debbra,
So glad that you were able to get on one of the Hop-on Hop-off buses, as there is so much to see in London. They are really good for the times when you have little time but so much to see.
I’m planning to visit the Churchill War museum this winter. Happy travels!
