What Life Looked Like In London During Lockdown
This post reflects on some of my observations made during my short stroll and leisurely walks. Enjoy my photographic post on what life looked like in London during lockdown.
As you can imagine travelling around London has not quite been the same but thankfully, we are gradually emerging out of lockdown with restrictions in place.
Some of us have actually enjoyed the break due to less crowds around, the closure of non-essential shops. This has meant there has been less temptation to pop into the stores to shop on impulse.
Apart from the social aspect of lockdown, i.e., not being able to mix with other households, raving, missing family sightseeing and travelling I have quite enjoyed it. This is what life looked like in London during lockdown.
Have you enjoyed being in lockdown? Are you looking forward to the ease? Drop me a line or two as always.
Much like your experience, we also saw a significant reduction in traffic. There were times it resembled a ghost town and we began to wonder if there was anyone else out there. Now that the vaccines have started to flow, we are beginning to see a return toward the regular traffic of old.
The traffic has picked up over here lately but I must admit I have enjoyed the stillness and quietness.
I’ve missed being able to get to London over the last year. But on the plus side it’s been lovely to have the city of Bath, where I live, without the tourists. And I had a great visit to Stonehenge in the summer – it’s quite something without all the people!
I love the city of Bath and would to revisit one day. Yes it makes a huge difference without the tourists!
