What’s Going To Be Your First Holiday Of Choice?!
For all of us, it might seem like a far cry away until we can go on holiday. In fact, most of us will have had holidays booked over the months that coronavirus has torn through the world. What this will have resulted in is a cascade of people who have had their holidays ruined this year. But there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it. Until we can fly again and go travelling around the world, we’re stuck thinking about the travels that we might want to have. Travelling is one of the best things that you can do to enrich your mind, give yourself new experiences, and to truly unwind. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of relaxation on holiday, and it’s one we can all dream about. What we can also dream about is where we might want to go when we can finally book a holiday, and we’re going to give you some great ideas as to where you might want to go!
A Crazy Adventure
Why not think about planning a crazy adventure? If you feel like life is getting on top of you a little at the minute, relaxation might be the last thing on your mind. You might be the type of person who loves to do adventure holidays and blow off some steam, and if you are, then you might want to consider going to the Galapagos Islands. It’s a volcanic archipelago of islands to explore, and we’d definitely recommend that you do so in your lifetime. There is such a mix of varied terrain, and to get the best experience you’re better off using this Galapagos guide book, and perhaps even debate booking a guided tour of the islands when you get there. You definitely need to make sure you have it planned before you go. This trip can be a little expensive as well, so make sure you’re saving your pennies now!
Pure Relaxation
Relaxation might be just what the doctor ordered, especially if you feel as though you have been running around like a headless chicken all year. If you want to relax, there are some islands that will allow you to do it in abundance. One of those islands is Mauritius. You can find the tiny spec of an island in the Indian Ocean, and it definitely has everything you need to relax. From villas on the water, to 5* restaurants serving you the freshest and most mouthwatering food, this island really is a place where you can do nothing but relax and eat, and perhaps drink your way through the cocktails as well.
City Vibes
Finally, if you know you’re not going to have the time or the money to get a big holiday in, you might want to settle for a city break. We know that the city breaks will be far busier when they open their borders back up, but the hustle and bustle might make it even more exciting. A beautiful city to visit would be Rome, although Italy might be one of the places last to open their borders. Which city break you chose all depends on your travel preferences.
What’s going to be your first holiday of choice?! Drop me a line as always
We will do a crazy adventure, do some pure relaxation, and stick to city vibes, as long as they are reachable by car and we are sure about the lodging’s sanitary measures. In other words, we sill stay as cautious as possible.
Travelling by car sounds much safer and remaining cautious since we haven’t fully emerged out of the pandemic yet.
Probably just a very simple and easy road trip with a nice picnic of stuff I made for the trip or maybe some local hikes with friends in areas i haven’t yet explored.
Times like this would be great for exploring local hikes that you’ve not done before.
With the long drought of travel comes an eagerness to hit the road. We had a few cities already planned, but they have since been delayed. Our travel plans will be to start local and then radiate out. Hopefully we will make it to Nova Scotia this fall.
Nova Scotia sounds great and I hope the travel industry gets back to normal soon. I’m looking forward to a country break when lockdown is over.
I love the idea of planning a crazy trip. I want to start making plans that I can keep. I’ve postponed so much already. At this point, I can probably nix many of my original ideas and rethink where I want to go once places start to open back up. I’m hoping to travel to Cuba in August, but we’ll see if that happens or not. Fingers crossed!
Fingers crossed things will be up and running in August. Enjoy Cuba!
U.S. cities and road trips will undoubtedly be our next travel. But we look forward to adventures and relaxation: Iceland, Greenland, and/or Alaska next summer? And we always look forward to returning to Spain.
US cities and road trips sound great knowing that summer is still in season.
I will probably go for an overnight to an inn first. And take a road trip to see family. When we have a protective shot and are really free again, I will start hacking away at my bucket list, first stop Africa.
Sounds great Carole! I’m not sure where my first stop but I would like to visit somewhere in th UK that is less crowded and quiet.
